The best way to describe this site is simple, and easy on the eyes. A mixture of blue and tan, with links to the left, and some on top, using black text on a white background for the log.

The author’s skills, when it comes to writing, are well above par. The content consists mostly of the author speaking of his job, video games, and his female whom he affectionately refers to as “Monkey”.

Again, the design is as good as simplicity gets. He takes the idea of keeping things simple, and runs wild with it. I look at this site and I’m not overwhelmed with flashing things or an overabundance of irrelevant links, just an excellent title bar and link bar, all of which match up perfectly.

Overall, if you’re looking for a site full of laughs and entertainment, this is probably not the place for you. But, if you’re looking for a well written log of a person’s daily events, then this is the one.

If I had to name 1 thing that would make this site excellent, it would be more writing. The author demonstrates some excellent writing skills, and from reading the archives of the DSW (one of the links) he’s got lots of opinions on things. He needs to share his movie/video game reviews more, and maybe go into his thoughts on things more, as opposed to just recapping his day.

SeanFay.com hit me as a rather simple, informative and interesting blog, so much to the point where I found myself reading through quite a few entries. I don’t think there’s particularly anything outstanding about this blog, its just well written, nice to navigate through and delivers a no fuss good read.

Why do I think this weblog is so good? Well I had no difficulties reading it, even when odd names popped up I didn’t know, the blog was written so you didn’t have to know who they were, and this is something every author writing a blog should work on. I particularly liked his car post, he went into great detail about his pursuit of a new car, a 2002 Jeep Liberty, and it really did keep me hooked reading about it. Like a well oiled engine, the blog runs smoothly, and you can almost feel this chap has a fair degree of writing talent.

The design of the site is ordinary, but it highlights the blog, it was easy for me to find out who different people were, a self bio, photos and a bit of a background. These are pretty much all the essentials you really ever need in a site, so again I have to say well done. SeanFay.com has a load of room for improvement, a few small pictures here and there always help in a blog, and leaving a positive or negative vote I find rather pointless when you have a comments link for each post included. My only remark would be perhaps lack of linkage out of the site, though many people may consider this a good thing, for me it tells me a little about the author.

I’d probably go as far to say I would visit this site again, not often, but definitely now and then just to see how things have progressed. I figure if you do have time on your hands and someone who likes to follow peoples lives religiously on the net then SeanFay.com is a good place to start. Its friendly, its inviting, and easy to read.

Overall I gave SeanFay.com a 3.5 out of 5. A very interesting read and a pleasure to review.

How to describe does one describe the thisisdrew.com web log? It is hard to get a capture on it. It is a moveable type design with a basic text heavy design. It has a lot of links (links to pictures with commentary, links to other stories, links to other parts of thisisdrew.com). At first, my interest was peaked but as I look further I am wondering where the “meat” is, where the real work is being done. Then I realize that the work is the site – this Drew likes the process of developing a website (taking photographs, writing, etc).

Drew lives in Arkansas and is attending college there as well. As his weblog is really a journal, it reflects his age, temperament, and interests. It is about his life, his photography, his family, his town, etc. The writing strikes me as rather bland but if you share his interests then you might find it more interesting. The pictures are really the focus as the posting is often sparse and irregular.

The weblog itself is well organized and easy to use. The text is clear and the links all seem to function. The site doesn’t seem to reflect much personality, however, being light green and white, with black text. Again, the photography is used to express his personality the rest just seems like a place to surround his pictures.

Thisisdrew.com is largely a vanity site from a college student with an interest in photography. If you are a young college student or have a similar interest in photography and design, it might be an interesting site to visit occasionally. It is missing a hook or interesting theme, however, and seemed too sporadic and self-focused to be of strong interest to wide audience. It might work for Drew’s friends and family but it ultimately left me cold.Thisisdrew

I don’t like giving a five, it suggests that something is perfect and I almost believe that to be impossible. However, for a personal web log, Princess, is truly perfect.

The design is easy on the eyes while making the site comfortable and easily navigated.

Lizzy, an 18 year old virgo, is the center of attention here and so she should be. She has a great way of describing the most simple events in life, i.e. – about 3 entries are devoted to looking for an apartment, and you won’t even notice. This girl could go on and on about anything and I would go right along with her.

In general, I like Lizzy, she’s a good person with lots to say. She seems to see herself as a geek who reads a lot. Regardless, I like that over-readin’ geek with a 147 IQ. She’s funny, she’s witty, and a generally fun person to read about. I’ve added her to my favorites and I look forward to reading about her world in the future.Princess

Key word for this web site description:

“GOOD”

Argylez.com is a good site. The webmaster is a good guy, 28, who happens to log his life as it happens. His writing is fun and witty and I enjoyed reading his entries quite a bit.

More than his writing though, I absolutely loved his photography. He truly is talented with the lens and I will be back to view some more in the future.

If you need a good web log to read, Argylez.com is just that.

The design is good (surprised?), able to accommodate links and a web poll while still functioning as a web log.

In conclusion…

Argylez.com is the virtual home of Ryan Frasch, a regular good guy with plenty of time on his hands. His site is a good one and seems to be good to its visitors.

And now that I’ve completely worn out the word ‘good,’ you can now go explore the site that makes … good … use of this adjective, Argylez.com.
