A nice calming lilac layout, with nice colour coordinated coloured text, which made a nice change from blue! A nice picture at the top, which leads down to a links bar on the left, and the blog next to that. I felt peaceful just looking at it, I liked it!
The weblog is the story of Robyn, 15, and her life. There are links to tell you more about her, with a photo, which gives you insight and makes the site feel more personal. There is also details of how she did the site, and pictures of her previous layouts. Mixed in with some handy links, I found this site interesting. The blog itself is centred around her life and that of her boyfriend Aaron. The blog is interesting, because if you read about her, you seem to feel like you know her.
The design is lovely, and I think that it does the blog justice. The inspiration is based on a song, and I think Robyn has done a good job. The design fits nicely in with the blog, as you get the impression that she is a laid back sort of girl, with a calm head!!!
I think that any sites that have information about the author and an insight into their life is always a bonus, it really makes you feel closer to the person when you know what they look like and what they enjoy from life. I also liked the fact that the information appeared in pop-ups, as opposed to you leaving the blog. There are links to download paint shop brushes and a message board amongst links to fellow bloggers.
If you are of a similar age, I think that you would enjoy reading this site, I must admit that it made me feel alittle old, though it was refreshing to read!! I really liked the design, and Robyn has obviously put in alot of work into creating and maintaining her site. A good read to teens I think!Remarkable

Weblog’s new location: http://home.wi.rr.com/kytheria/
My first impression of this site came with the graphic that you see at the top of the page. The “on the inside looking out” tagline plugged right with the image of a woman looking out a barred window is a pretty powerful statement all in its’ own, and the rest of the site did not let me down.
The title of the site, “Shades of Grey”, describes exactly the physical appearance of the site. Amanda uses black, white, and grey throughout the site and it gives the site a uniform appearance throughout.
A long time webblogger, Amanda’s entries are wonderfully written. The majority of them look as if they’re long, but because of the writing style, the entries read very quickly and I found myself hurrying along to the next to read even more.
This is a very well designed and maintained site all-around. An audience of adults (perhaps 21+ and over?) may find this site more entertaining than teenagers would. However, there’s certainly nothing here that would offend anyone… at least it didn’t me.
I’d definitely suggest checking this weblog out when you have a few minutes to really get involved in some reading.Shades of Grey

Read the entry made at 8:23 a.m. on Feb 22, 2002. Read it slowly, and visualize. I did this and could picture it exactly the way Amy wrote it. This entry gives you insight to how wonderful the writing is throughout the entire weblog.
Amy claims to have been pulled from the threshold of teenybopper-land recently, and I’ll be one to agree with her. Amy is a high school student, but this certainly isn’t a typical angst-filled teenage blog about who’s wearing what name brand clothes.
The design is simple, yet effective. The several different “extras” within the site give it a great touch.
Like I mentioned previously, the Amy’s writing is great. It’s easy to read, it’s easy to picture exactly what she’s talking about, and it’s easy to become involved in Amy’s life just by reading her weblog.
The only thing I was bummed about with this site was the archives. The link provided only gives the entries for February. Amy mentioned that she’d been blogging for two years, and I would have loved to read the archives. However, I thought this site still deserved a 5.0.InText

Very fun. That’s what I’d use to describe Mark’s weblog at hatchetation.com.
My first impression of the site? I absolutely loved the fish at the top. It looked just like a fishtank, and just struck a very good chord with me. It was just enough bright, cheery color there at the top of the site to contrast nearly perfectly with the calmer colors throughout the rest of the site.
The pictures down the left hand side of the weblog are a great addition to the site’s appearance.
A lot of the entries you’ll find on Mark’s weblog are links to sites away from his domain, but I looked through several and found each of them to be very entertaining, as well as interesting.
And when Mark’s weblog entries are the normal updates on his life, they’re all as entertaining and as well written as one could possibly ask for.
I know that I will personally be coming back to this site just to see what Mark’s up to and what kind of fun and interesting links I can find in his weblog entries.hatchetation.com

I’m hooked. That’s all there is to it. And with a writing style like this, I have a feeling Cal will draw plenty of people to this site.
Cal writes about her daily life in her weblog entries. It’s not “regular” writing, though. While it’s hard to pinpoint what makes it such a clear writing style, each entry is very easy to read. The words just seem to flow. You know all that good stuff you learned in English class? It’s all present at The Calliope Project.
The design keeps the flow going, too. With the same design throughout the extensive site, it’s a sharp layout that’s simple, yet stunning.
Cal’s got some definite style with this site, and I’d definitely check it out at least once if you’re looking for a weblog that really pulls you into what’s going on.The Calliope Project
