A lot of websites rely heavily on design, but this one is obviously content based. Without being pretentious, depressing, excessively wordy, or all of the above, this site is definitley interesting and well written. I was immediately struck by the writer’s rundown of the songs that have affected her life. She wrote so beautifully on the subject, waxing nostalgic on her daddy, reminiscing about falling in love. Damn, if I were a better person, I might have cried. Design wise, although design is not the integral part of the site, it is very fresh and green. Very green. I really dig the image of the flower at the top of the page. No-nonsense, pleasing to the eyes, overall good design. There’s something I can’t put my finger on about the writer’s style. I guess she has the articulation necessary to say what she wants without garbling the ideas. Poetic. Clean. Interesting. And not written by a teenager for once! I’d definitley recommend snazzykat. It looks like i’ll be keeping up with it for a while.snazzykat

Here, ladies and gentlemen, is a fine specimen of a weblog if I have ever seen one. The layout is crisp (black text on white background), the entries are concise and interesting, the navigation is easy, and the photo section is artsy.

The frequent links to outside sites are timely and of top quality. His politics are right-on, and his links allow the thinking reader to make their own decisions.

The author seems very intelligent and thoughtful. This site definitely deserves more than the measley 10 visitors a day it’s been getting.

This site is a News/Link site which has around 10 posters, the links link to articles with topics in the area of politics, goverment relations and some random things that don’t really interest me. What they do is take a part of the article and link the qoute or add a half a sentence introducing it. The content is adult oriented and more specifically targeted to the 20something male that has nothing to do when Jerry Springer is on. I gave this site a 3.0 due to the fact what little content that’s there doesn’t interest me a great deal and because the design could use some help.GuerrillaNews[dot]org

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!

Richard Evans Lee’s Edifying Spectacle features crisp composition, witty and sophisticated insight, and more content than the average blog reader can shake a stick at. While this weblog features more than a few entries which deal with homosexuality and related topics, the author does not pander to his audience. In fact, Richard Evans Lee’s entries are so well-written and thoughtfully composed that even the most disinterested reader will willingly read on and may come to view many issues in a whole new light. On a whole, Edifying Spectacle is both a fascinating and enlightening read.

The layout of Edifying Spectacle is functional and has a newsy-feeling. It views well in both MSIE 5.5 and NS 6.1, though AOL’s MSIE browser does not accommodate the page size settings and will present both side and bottom scroll bars. Many readers will note that the layout of Edifying Spectacle takes an obvious backseat to the content — perfectly acceptable given such a great read!

This site is highly recommended to savvy, intelligent readers who enjoy new perspectives and appreciate diversity.

Coloured Glass is a striking website. Although I’m not into anime myself, I have many friends who are and have quite an appreciation of it. Anther plus is the fact that is an Australian website. Ever since I was a child my dream vacation would be to go there. And stay. The photos and stories I have heard and seen from people who have been there are extraordinary!

This group blog isn’t quite a “blog”. It is more of a chat site between the many members of it and seem to exclude individual thoughts and matters. It gets boring when they talk about “that one class today” or some other subject that outsiders would have no clue what they mean.

When I typed in the web address and hit the enter key, I received more than five script error messages. This is a major turn-off for those that read over six blogs a day. I was tempted to leave the site just after I had seen the script errors. I decided to wait for the images to load. This, I regret. It took over a minute for the images to load, and when they did, it wasn’t quite worth it. If a site takes more than 30 seconds to load, it gets annoying.

Another major “fault” with websites is that they have a space for an image, and it turns out to be an “x” because it either wasn’t coded the right way or the image doesn’t exist on the directory. When you cannot see half the layout, what is the point of the code? The layout is un-original and I have seen it on at least 50 other blogs or sites. Obviously, the creator doesn’t take risks with art or doesn’t know how.

As I surf blogs, I always look for archives so that I can look into past entries and other thoughts of the bloggers. I scanned the site three times, and did not succeed in locating one. While scanning the site for archives, I counted the use of emoticons and words with * these * around them on the front blog only. It totaled to 70! Seventy times of usage! It tends to get annoying and tiring.

To conclude, I must say this again. The site rating was based on everything. The design, bloggers, and the way they blog. The point of this review is for the public to see if they would like to visit this blog, and for the owners to see how they could revise it by others opinion.
