Fairly interesting weblog. From what I could gather, this guy is a big time computer user. Spending a lot of time playing half life. Not to much I could really gather about him other than that.

The design of the site struck out as interesting to me. Originality is a definite here. I didn’t like however, how small the navigation links were. This really annoyed me. The good use of an iframe was impressive. Others have tried, but failed to do it well.Planetgoodyy.com

What can be said about David Gagne that you havent already read on the bathroom walls in a seedy strip bar?

Wait, were not talking about Dave here we’re talking about his website 😛

Layout Design & Usability:

davidgagne.net is clean and simple. Using some fancy css to make his site tableless (tho it looks like there are tables, magic!). The navigation is straight forward and its hard to get lost even if you’re trying. Which, for the record I tried.

The biggest problem I had with it is that he uses black for the links and blue for the text. I kept finding myself clicking on the blue (traditionally for links) and reading the black parts separately. Im assuming he did this deliberately to see if I was paying attention (all for ruzzman!).

Content:

The content is varied and deep. You could spend hours reading papers (from his philosophy classes) to poetry, to.. well you get the idea. There is also a lot of pictures for you voyuers out there. He also has a section for the song of the moment, complete with the song available for download. I would have completed this review sooner but I needed to send an email to metallica telling them hes doing more business than napster did!

A good site. Varied content throughout the site and the blog mixes news/links and personal commentary together in a way that keeps his blog fresh and entertaining.

Check this site out, you should be glad you did (and ignore what you read in the bathrooms, David Gagne did not shoot Gandhi!)bling

Mudgeblog is a casually charming blog. Here the focus is on the author’s life, and very little time is spent linking to external articles (which makes a refreshing change in the blogging community).

So why have I described it as casually charming? Admittedly that doesn’t suggest a very good site, which is exactly what it is. The blog is well written, interesting, and the varying moods of the writer are well expressed in a simple paragraph’s content. That makes it charming.

The colour scheme is very strong, the site is well structured and the images used in the corner carry the theme of pixel art very well through the entire site. This page is very easy to navigate, making it casually charming. The greatest sites make everything seem so easy, and that’s exactly what’s going on here.

The only real complaint I have with the site is that the text may be too small for some readers, and since it’s pixel controlled, you can’t change it through the browser. Otherwise, this is a very good blog.mudge.blog

Great. I was automatically drawn into Miguel’s (who’s from Austria) site. I completely love the layout; nice gray/white color going. I started to laugh when I saw his “Shoe Project” which are pics of his readers who have emailed him a pic of their shoes; I found that funny.

On to the blog … I really enjoyed reading his posts. I read one that somehow kept me reading on about his morning one day which turned out to be a long morning that began at 6 am. His posts also have little headings which are sometimes funny. I like his writing and the other plus is that it’s interesting to read about life in other countries. One thing I found out is in Austria is you have to bring your own bags when you go grocery shopping unlike here in America.

A definite must visit; or at least send him a pic of your shoes!Feral Living

Peace Dividend looks very good. A nice background, with elements structured by varying fonts and text colors, the site was easy to read and figure out. Few graphical elements were needed to present the information on the site, which keeps the load time down. A plus in anyone’s book.

The content of the weblog entries was of a political and often personal nature. While I liked reading most entries, I was often hesitent to click on the links leading to external pages, not knowing where I was being led. A little more info about the links would have been helpful, though it may have taken away from the author’s concise, sharp, writing style.

Clicking through the nav menu to see the rest of the site, I found more links the further I clicked. This quickly led me astray, not knowing where I was after a couple of pages. A little reorganization of the navigation, along with some common navigational theme from page to page would help.

A little tweaking of the structure sitewide would help make peacedividend.com a very impressive site. It is certainly worth a look.peace dividend
