“I’ve Moved Yo!” nearly sent me straight to the next review in line, but I decided to forge on and see just what caused the move from a site titled “Disgruntled” to a site and domain called “Psychodelick dot com”.

After clicking, ( not being auto directed ) to “Psychodelick dot com”, I began my perusal of this effort.

After reading blog items posted irregularly and which appear to be “cut and paste” from somewhere and in their entirety (perhaps not plagiarism, but I’m not sure this was credited where credit was due, maybe a “byline” is in order here?) with a few side comments by the webmaster thrown in here and there. Other posts were nicely linked to more personal items dealing with the life of “Psycho”, as he has named himself. The post thanking his loving family and especially his understanding father were heartwarming.

The tiny font and blue on black of the links are hard on the eyes., and the “Fans” section seems to contain ….a fan. The “Webcam” link found no webcam at all, merely a broken link. Under the “Musik” link I did find two mp3s to download, but the “Essay” section was very hard to read with the tiny white font on black background.

Basically a good effort, needing some work on accessibility for those of us with bad eyesight, but a good insight into the mind of a teenaged male.





Disgruntled

I got sick of staring at NeoFlux on the front page day after day so I decided to write about Apathy Online.



Somehow this site reminds me of Newgrounds.com, I think it may be the colors. Yes, I’m pretty sure it’s the colors. It seems as if a lot of people use dark gray and black. As this may look good, it really does get kind of old after a while. The layout is unique, except when you click on any links in the left menu you lose the layout and it just takes you … wherever. It’s almost as if they didn’t spend very much time on it, just to get out there and be seen.



The site looks really nice when you first enter it and you read their blog but as you look into it, they’ve got a pay-per-click link on every post. It’s these kinds of things that make a site annoying and I will most likely, not come back. There’s isn’t much intelligence put forth into it, I mean sure it’s a personal site with a daily record or what you did but at least check your spelling. It’ll make things easier for all of us.



I was looking at the pictures, and I swear I think I found Waldo. Wait, thats just the webmaster. I’ll keep looking. I don’t really have any more to say, it’s a small site and there’s not much to write about. apathy online

I began to review this weblog in earnest

until I discovered that the author did

it very succinctly for me. Behold:



“It’s basically nothing more but a list

of ramblings about the crap of my life.

The only reason I’m keeping it personal

is because 1) If I posted it here, no

one would understand half of what I was

saying. 2) Lots of ppl from RL have

started to visit my blog and that makes

me paranoid of what I write”



The random jibber-jabber/thought ratio

leans WAY towards the jibber-jabber. It

is as if the author is having a frenetic

verbal conversation with herself where

every neural impulse is deemed worthy of

publication.



Graphically, the site is really very

slick. I’d go so far as to say

beautiful. The anime graphic is fun, the

navigation is minimal, clear, and easy.

The white text on the dark blue

background is a bit hard to read.



My advice for this weblog: before

typing, consider if it’s worth reading.



fin.Through Seraph’s Eyes

The graphics and color scheme of this

site are the first things that really

grabbed me. “ooh, slick” were the words

of my internal monologue. Purple,

shadows, blackness, mmmmmm. And the

purple-tinted graphic of an attractive

woman on the side – nice.



My interest was aroused.



Then I started reading. The very first

line read, “need weed”. Easy to

identify with that. Then I was

immediately assaulted by the chronic (no

pun intended) misspellings, aol-esque

abbreviations (2 for “to”, & for “and”,

4 for “for”, u for “you”, you get the

idea), and general abuse of the english

language. My interest fizzled and I

developed a headache.



It’s a shame too because the author

seems very passionate and worth knowing.

The skinny white text on the black

background burns my retinas. The “posted

at” color is much too dark to be read on

the black background.



In a sentence: An otherwise fascinating

weblog crippled by poor use of language

and poor font/background choice.



fin.Allegra’s Strange World – ShadowedChild

Passion. The authors have passion. And angst. The authors have passion and angst. These two things, plus a punk rock attitude, plus a verbal writing style make this site a very refreshing read.



While some sites pussyfoot around all politically correct, the authors really nails their opinions right between the eyes. And they make no appologies about it either.



They rant about day to day happenings as well as current events. They review pizza joints and bars. They critique the sorry state of American society. You get the picture.



The occasional article picture and the webcam/portal area should satisfy the avid visual junkie. Lots and lots of personality here. Enjoy!
