WED-log is “a weblog of news and sites about married life, couples, spouses, relationships, weddings, divorce prevention, intimacy, communication, love and commitment.”

This is a site that is intended for married people who are interested in strengthening their relationship. There’s a wealth of information to be found on this site. Links on many marriage-related topics are referenced in each entry.

The site navigation is built to the left and right of the main content section. There’s nothing at all fancy about this site, and it doesn’t appear that there’s much formatting at all.

This is your basic, straight-forward informative site, based loosely around the weblog format. If you’re looking for Christian-based marriage information, you might find something of interest.WED-log: Strengthening marriage / avoiding divorce

This site has a very interesting concept on the splash page. A Polaroid image with a number in the corner is used for the initial navigation, and the page spans horizontally so that one must scroll left and right to view everything. Very cute!

The journal itself can be found by clicking on image “two.” We’re treated to a simple black and white layout that includes the same image from the splash page on the left, and an inline frame for the blog itself on the right. Navigation is found underneath the image and leads you to the guestbook, a list of events, and archives. The archives are extensive, stretching as far back as July 2000.

The posts are usually pretty generous in length. Topics of discussion range from current school activity to the latest concert or show. The site seems to be focused on music and shows, and it all has that sort of energy to it. It’s a pleasant, positive energy! I waited until I was through browsing the journal to check out the “about” section. Imagine my (pleasant) surprise when I learned the author is a sixteen year-old girl!

This site is a nice change of pace… check it out!connect – the – dots

This is a very interesting photography site. The subject matter includes nature/scenic, city, random objects, and people shots. I’m certainly no expert on photography, but the photographs are varied and nice to look at.

The site uses a very clean layout, with navigation in a frame on the left and the content in the frame on the right. Archives date back to February 2002. There’s a links page, too.

One very unique thing about this site is the use of music. For each page, a song plays in the background while the images are loading. This was irritating at first, since I’m one of those people who insist on a stop button for any music on a site. I soon figured out I could right-click on the black button next to the song title and stop the music. Luckily, the music is well chosen.

My only complaint about this site is that there’s no information on the images. I’d love to know which body of water I’m looking at, or where that cool yellow hand chair is located.

Very nice site… well done!LifeThroughALens

Beeb has been keeping her journal since August of 2001. She likes Keanu Reeves and enjoys taking online quizzes. Her posts consist of run-of-the mill updates about her day-to-day life. She hasn’t updated since February 18th, but her archives are pretty extensive.

Though design is surely not the be-all/end-all to a good journal, it can surely make it difficult to enjoy the experience. In this case, the colors are quite painful on the eyes. A lavender background with a split baby blue/pink filled table on top, along with teeny-tiny magenta text is the perfect recipe for a headache. Literally. Highlighting the text helps a bit, but one shouldn’t have to do that. I found many broken images on the site, but the navigation works relatively well.

All-in-all, this is not a journal I could recommend due to the strain it takes to read.Pink Ranger

This is a very cleanly laid-out site that has a few very well written posts. I’m looking forward to keeping an eye on this journal for further updates.

This journal feels like jazz to me. You know, like the music. It’s all very artistic in tone, and I think that’s the intended feel for the site. Everything’s done in a very classy, unobtrusive manner. Aside from the journal, there are a few details for the reader to peruse. We know which books are being read, which site is being admired, and we’re treated to some really lovely black and white photography. One can even sign up to be notified of updates, if they so desire. There are archives, but they don’t include many entries.

All-in-all, this site is well done! light to carry
