I liked “Phives” the second I went to the site. The layout is easy to read, all the important links are on the top of the page, and the three colors the author uses compliment each other.

Jay, a college student from Pennsylvania uses his weblog to write about random events in his life, usually

with a funny, optimistic slant. Almost every entry from day one of the blog to the present is entertaining, and many entries are just plain hilarious. I had the feeling after reading the first few months’ posts that I knew the author. There is a good bio section as well.

My favorite part about the site was a section called ‘Tips’ where visitors can leave bits of wisdom on life in general. Example: “People will accept your ideas much more readily if you tell them that Benjamin Franklin said it first.” Also, if you click on the title of each entry, you can read that entry only, which is really handy if you want to link to a certain post. The archive section is unique and very easy to use, all in all the design of the site is one of the most user friendly I have ever seen.

I really enjoyed my time at Phives, and I’m sure you will too. The author has an uncanny knack for humor, and a superbly user friendly website. Unfortunatly for Petey and Ethan (who I even felt sad at their demise), the authors talents do not extend to raising fish. This site is well worth your time.
