The title really sums this blog up quite succinctly. Pornster. Porn. That’s what I expected and that’s what I got.

Actually I was grateful for such am obvious title – I’d have hated to have unwittingly opened this blog when children/partner/colleagues were around. Be warned, this is definitely NOT a work-friendly site.

On opening the site I was immediately ‘greeted’ with a graphic shot of a naked woman. Every post consists of such a photograph, along with a couple of short sentences as to why the author likes that particular photo and, where applicable, a link back to the photo source.

It’s obvious that the author is passionate about his subject matter. More often than not the narrative is to-the-point, bordering on crude. This is certainly not an artistic or classy site. It’s porn at its most basic level. However, the author does make a point of showing pictures of girls that don’t necessarily fit the typical stereotype of a porn star. He chooses them based on his personal preferences which he outlines for us at the top of the page. It is updated daily, and with several posts a day.

The design is simple – I believe it’s a basic blogger template with one or two minor amendments. I suspect that the author has other things on his mind rather than worrying about his template. The same can probably be said of his visitors. The sidebar is long – there must be a hundred different links there and from what I can deduce all are to other porn sites. I must admit to not checking all of the links but the random ones I did check worked just fine.

The blog itself took a while to load, undoubtedly due to the large quantity of posts. But it loaded okay in both IE and Firefox. It seems that our author had been having some issues with it displaying in IE but these seem to be resolved now.

To summarise, this is definitely an adult-only site. By the looks of the site counter it seems to be very popular and for those looking for simple porn it will fit the bill. Nothing particularly noteworthy and it isn’t a site that I enjoyed but I can see that there are those that would.

Unique South America Travel Experience is not really a blog, but I felt the need to review it because I feel the website owner truly loves his subject.

The site is filled with photographs and personal remembrances by a traveler who has been to South America, and writes in his “About Us” that he is in Dublin Ireland (a place I personally long to visit) and will one day return to his beloved continent. The About Us page does not let us know who the author is, aside from a photo at the top of the page which I presume is our author. I’ve guessed that the website owner is one “Daniel Moore,” because several of the photos on the site are attributed to that individual. I would recommend editing the About Us page to make it clear who is speaking to us and encouraging us to take a chance in visiting South America one day.

From the opening page, the writer makes it clear his love for South America and all the countries therein. There is a date-stamp on the page that shows the current date, but I believe that is code generated and not a sign that the site was updated today. The layout of the Homepage is kind of lumpy, with huge text and lots of pictures and a giant Google Ads box in the middle of things, disturbing the textual flow of the page.

The navigation on the left sidebar makes has a nice natural flow, and the only thing I’d recommend is moving the About Us page up to the second position. The navigation is repeated at the bottom of each of the webpages, which is redundant and should be removed.

The next option in the navigation is SA Travel Blog which offers readers an RSS option for when the blog is updated, but there isn’t any “blog” content.

Moving on from the blog and the overview of the continent on the first page, we move country by country through South America. Here is where the true heart of the site lies. The author writes about each country and top destinations, and the sometimes scary adventures he had in each nation.

While interesting to read about things he experienced from the 1970s onward, I found this to be a site that I won’t necessarily visit again… unless I need maps. I would suggest our author update more frequently, perhaps use Blogger or something to actually BLOG about his travels, and I truly hope he makes it back to his beloved South America someday. Ireland may be lovely, but the photos of SA make it look dreary and boring in comparison.

I give this site a 2.75 rating, as it is worth a look once, but doesn’t generate a desire for anyone to really revisit. NULL

With a name of Shucking oysters, shelling peas, I knew this was going to be a food blog. Or at least I hoped it would be. Thankfully it was a food blog.

Before I get on with the contents of the blog, I must first point out this is a blogspot blog. This blog deserves its own domain name, so please, Alexa, get a domain for this blog. You can keep the blogspot template as it works for the site, but your site deserves a domain.

Now the food blog if you hadn’t guessed is written by Alexa. She is a self proclaimed food and wine enthusiast but you have to give her credit. She knows her food. In reading through the first couple of posts she talks about her upcoming corporate dinner that she is preparing. You can tell that she has given a lot of thought into what is going to be served and how it will be served. This is how I know she knows her food.

Continuing on we find ourselves reading recipies and other items all about food. Never did I come across a posting and think that this blog was bad. Like my dad’s apple pie, you always want more.

Alexa is very talented and as I said, her blog deserves a domain to itself. Her skills should not be fooled by a simple blogspot website. I really enjoyed this blog, and I know anyone who enjoys eating or drinking will enjoy this blog too.NULL

I like movies and I like them a lot. When I realized the primary focus of “Tomorrow’s Entertainment” was movie new and reviews, I was very excited to jump right on into the posts.

The layout is kind of obtrusive to look at when it completely loads, and the white text on a black background is always hard on the eyes. The very large image at the top of the layout is a bit overwhelming at first, but the film reel and spotlight graphics do fit into the nature of the weblog. It’s a standard three-column layout with all of the typical blogger fare – archives by date and category, recent posts, and all that jazz. “Tomorrow’s Entertainment” has been nominated in a couple of different categories in the Blogger’s Choice Awards; however, the author of the blog nominated it.

There is a plethora of movie review sites all over the web and there are very few that really pop out as something special or unique. This one’s been up and running since June 2007, but it has yet to establish itself as a front runner in originally or even content. It seems like the author is going back and forth between making it a very professional-like site or a casual news and review site. The writing style doesn’t seem proficient or entertaining enough to compete with major movie review sites around the ‘net.

The author of the blog is able to sneak into several previews and can provide readers with brief reviewed of movies before they’re open to the general public. In doing so, he/she never gives readers any spoilers at all. He/she also includes still image shots or trailers in many of his/her posts, which is also another nice touch.

While movies are the main focus of “Tomorrow’s Entertainment”, the author also does some writing about television shows, books, and even professional wrestling. It seems like there’s a bit of passion behind the writing, but I really felt like the site is just being used as an entertainment-related blog that the author keeps for himself.
