Review 197

Pentameter (which means “a line of verse consisting of five metrical feet” incidentally) is an alright weblog.

It initially struck me as a bit cluttered, but the design is actually quite straightforward but still attractive.

The writing is of a good standard and the posts are usually short, link plus comment style. Links are to a variety of interesting and cool places so good marks there.

Finally, Paul, the author, has gone out of his way to implement lots of whizzy features, like searching the site and web with Google, a poll, free email and webhosting, a comment system and “karma” voting.

In my opinion Pentameter deserves some recognition, but the actual blog fails to really engage and currently does too little to distinguish itself from others it’s peers.

Unrealised potential, I hope.Pentameter
