Splash page, splash page, go away… At least he was creative in using a quote from Fight Club. But why?!?

Clicked to enter and I found a really good weblog. The posts were full and rich with detail that you don’t find all too often. There is a lot of information into this person’s life, if you like.

I really like how he will take one random thing and turn it into a big mess. The first post that I read is the best example of this. He talks about a computer company and how bad their website is. Ok yeah it is a bad website, but it was funny.

He has an option for an alternative layout. Wow. What a change. I didn’t like the alternative layout near as much as the current one. The white background and round button links, I have just seen it all before. The black with gray works better for the site.

So what are you waiting for? Go check out the site and be amused by what the author has to say about it.

How many times must I see a splash page for a weblog? They serve no purpose! Thankfully the author chose to have the page auto-refresh right before I could click the big moon to enter.

Once inside the page, I just gasped. The layout was very original and it kept the moon theme apparent. The navigation is through each of the moons up at the top. Very nicely done JavaScript rollovers.

The weblog is hard to read. The reason I say this is because in order to look at the old posts, you click on the harvest moon and then you have a list of posts. None of the posts have a link back to it just click the moon. The list of posts for all I know could be in random order. Dates are not listed except on one post. Weblogs have order to them. The good part about the posts is they are full. The author leaves nothing out of the topic that they are writing about.

All in all, the site has potential to be really good. A little bit of reorganization and it will be really good.

WildStyle was a little disappointing for a blog with such a potentially exciting name. The bulk of the problems I encountered were with the navigation and the layout. The fixed background screwed up Netscape completely, and I was forced to open Explorer. A seemingly random drop-down list of links was unclear as to where it was going to lead me (on-site or off-site?), making me wary of choosing one. I also am always unenthused about my scrollbars being taken over by another color (aqua in this case), but that’s probably my pickiness speaking.

The weblog itself had a few interesting entries, but for the most part there was nothing that would make me want to return. Entries such as “wow! I knew my computer desk was a light brown (like hardwood kinda coloured) But I hadn’t seen my desk it weeks! It had been buried under piles of junk,” were not exactly captivating.

Many weblogs will at least give you an idea about what they are there for, or the authors will give you an idea or philosophy that holds the whole thing together. WildStyle was a little confusing in these areas, and I was unsure how to take it. Not really seeing any cohesive relations between posts, and not finding much content to pique my interests, I went on.

Wow. Not too many sites can make you say that word. This one does. There is only one flaw with this site, and it is the archives. They loose the design aspect and are just straight text. That fixed, and it is a knock out site.

The design is simple and easy. I really enjoyed looking at the site. It all flowed naturally like a good website should.

The weblog itself: Each entry has an mp3 that you can download. No we aren’t talking about top 40 mp3’s, we are talking about indie rock music. The goal is to get other people in tune with the non man-made groups.

Each post in some way probably centers on music in some way shape or form. Well most are about music anyways. The rest is about the daily life and what not.

Any music enthusiast will love this site. So will almost everyone else.

The site is very beautifully done! For the layout, the colors all match perfectly well and are interesting. Not your typical black and white as an example, but, blue, orange, and green. The content sections are above you while links, music, archives, etc. are to the left of the weblog. The sections are also welll organised.

The actual log is random, but well written and gives the reader plenty of information about what the writer is saying. If not, links are provided.

The log is different in a sense that it is a portfolio (which is currently down), a résumé, information, pictures, AND a weblog. This all totals up to around 4.5. A wonderful weblog.unapologetic
